DAITHI'S DUMKA

This composition creates a sometimes beautiful sometimes discordant dance. The film accompaniment is therefore a dance of nature - of the the landscape and natural light-play of the sunlight, insects and birds. Although produced in the UK, the scene is of memories of the Polish countryside; wild and beautiful.
Mood changes occur as the sunlight bathes the scene. Layers of shadow puppetry an re-filmed video projections are used to create a low tech, hand made feel which is a bit like old 8mm movie footage.

A collaboration with Jon Barraclough
